1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Chartzard app ("App") you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Chartzard.
2. What Chartzard Is — and Is Not
Chartzard is a free financial education app. It teaches concepts related to investing, swing trading, and options through structured lessons, quizzes, flashcards, an AI tutor, and a market simulator.
Chartzard is NOT:
- A brokerage or financial institution
- A registered investment advisor
- A provider of personalized investment advice
- Connected to any real brokerage account
- Responsible for any real investment decisions you make
Nothing in this App constitutes financial advice. All content is educational only. Always consult a qualified financial professional before making real investment decisions.
3. The App Is Free
Chartzard is provided to users at no cost. There are no subscription fees, in-app purchases, or paid tiers. You can access all features of the App without payment. As a free product Chartzard's business model relies on the use of user data as described in the Privacy Policy. By using the App you acknowledge and agree to these data practices.
4. Market Simulator and Simulated Trades
The market simulation feature within Chartzard uses historical price data and virtual cash. It is designed for educational practice only.
- No real money is ever involved
- No real brokerage account is connected or accessed
- Simulated results do not reflect actual trading performance
- Simulated gains or losses have no real-world financial impact
The simulator is intended to help you practice decision-making in a consequence-free environment. It is not a tool for predicting real market outcomes.
5. AI Tutor and Groq
Chartzard's AI tutor is powered by Groq. Groq runs open-weight models (currently Qwen 3 and Llama 3) to generate responses. The specific model may change as we tune the experience. When you interact with the AI tutor:
- Your messages and a small context summary about your learning progress are sent to Groq's servers to generate a response
- This data transmission is necessary to operate the AI tutor feature
- Groq's own privacy policy and terms govern how they handle data sent through their API
You should not share sensitive personal information through the AI tutor including:
- Bank account or brokerage account numbers
- Passwords or authentication credentials
- Social Security numbers or government ID numbers
- Full financial account details
The AI tutor provides educational explanations only. It does not have access to your real financial accounts and cannot provide personalized investment advice. AI responses may contain errors and should not be relied upon as financial guidance.
6. User Accounts
To use Chartzard you must create an account. You are responsible for:
- Keeping your login credentials confidential
- All activity that takes place under your account
- Providing accurate information during registration and onboarding
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized account access
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
7. Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time by navigating to Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
Upon deletion:
- Your authentication record is immediately and permanently removed from our servers
- All of your progress data, lesson history, and quiz results are immediately deleted
- This action is irreversible and cannot be undone

8. Intellectual Property
All content within the App — including lesson materials, AI model outputs, graphics, logos, and software — is owned by Chartzard and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited non-exclusive license to use the App for personal educational purposes only. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or commercially exploit any App content.
9. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Share your account credentials with others
- Attempt to reverse engineer or decompile the App
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the App
- Submit false or misleading information
10. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. CHARTZARD MAKES NO WARRANTY THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE. FINANCIAL CONTENT MAY NOT REFLECT THE MOST CURRENT MARKET CONDITIONS. ALL INVESTING INVOLVES RISK INCLUDING THE POSSIBLE LOSS OF PRINCIPAL.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW CHARTZARD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY FINANCIAL LOSSES, INVESTMENT LOSSES, OR OTHER INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP OR ANY INVESTMENT DECISIONS YOU MAKE AFTER USING THE APP. YOUR USE OF CHARTZARD CONTENT TO INFORM REAL INVESTMENT DECISIONS IS ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App with reasonable advance notice. Continued use of the App after changes are communicated constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey without regard to conflict of law principles.
